Baxter

An indoor floor lamp: a bent steel shaft, weighted by a base of stacked slate, from which a ribbed glass diffuser is suspended. The supply cable, left visible and coloured, is part of the drawing. The silhouette draws on the IV stand that Baxter made commonplace, as the first manufacturer to produce intravenous solutions industrially, in 1931 - until then the preserve of a few teaching hospitals.
