La Condition Publique is crossed by an interior street, covered along its first section, open along the second, currently being developed. The lighting concept unfolds in two stages.
The first is a thread of light. Functional lighting follows the street and marks the rhythm of the roof structure. Deliberately offset, its layout breaks the long perspective: like a thread of stitching, the light runs across the building, linking and weaving the architecture together, guiding the eye and the walk through.
The second is a patchwork of light. Coloured touches appear here and there on the façades, the roof structure and the ground. They form a succession of looser, more event-driven fragments of light that shift the perception of the street according to its uses. Light becomes matter, colour and movement.
