The residential tower on Rue Riolan stands at the heart of a district in Amiens, its façades marked by the regular stacking of floors. The lighting concept draws on the graphic pattern of Tetris to reveal this architecture. White lines of light, arranged in a fragmented and irregular way, trace the edges of the building and extend the façade’s graphic play into the night.
This composition evokes the stacking of dwellings and the diversity of residents within the tower. Rather than seeking to light the whole façade evenly, the design uses selective lines that draw a recognisable silhouette. The tower becomes an urban signal, visible across the district, taking on a distinct identity after dark.
